Seasonal Scrappy Throw Pillow

I’ve talked about how much I love scraps. When I quilt with my friend Jen, I even take her scraps. So now I have an old filing cabinet filled with scraps sorted by color, and three huge laundry baskets of scraps, and then various shoe boxes of coordinated scraps that are waiting to be put into production for a quilt. The insanity has to stop!

I’ve started trying to use all of the scraps with each project. Last week I made two autumn table runners from a beautiful fat quarter collection from Fat Quarter Shop. I had about a 1/4 of each fat quarter left. I cut the pieces into 1.5″ strips and made four of these scrappy pillows. They make me happy.

  1. It’s true, no scrap is too small for Erin to grab! She keeps them all organized…I’m not sure how or where she finds the time to make all of these beautiful things.
