I have done tree skirts before but this year I had a custom order for one using the same pattern that I use for table toppers.
My client wanted something festive for the season, without being too juvenile, but also without being overly ornate or fancy. I used this adorable Santa fabric from the Believe by Simply Shelly for Henry Glass Fabrics as the focus fabric.
For the points of the stars I married some snowflake fabric from my stash with this awesome print featuring holiday sayings from Be Jolly by Deb Strain for Moda.
The toughest part was the hole in the center for the tree! That was hard to do – actually cutting a punished piece. The round binding was not great either. 🙂
In other news, I was at the Paramus high school craft fair on Sunday. I did some holiday shopping and even scored this beautiful holiday wreath for our house.
