I love to make quilts for twins, or sisters (or brothers, although I have never been asked). I always try to do the same fabric in two color ways to create consistency with something special for each child.
These quilts for a friend and colleague who had twins – a boy and a girl. The brown, teal and orange version is for the boy and the lavender, teal and orange version was for the baby girl. I made them a little larger than usual for a crib so they could use them as play mats. They didn’t turn out as different as I had hoped, but the new parents were happy, so I’ll take it!
