I was visiting a client a week or so ago and came across this painting. From far away down the hall it looked like simple large painted colored squares. But close up you could see each seemingly large block was actually squares if the main color and black in a checkerboard pattern. I wanted to get a close up but someone was walking down the hall and I had to get back to my meeting!

Obviously this is a simple design but I found it quite striking. This would make a beautiful quilt for a large space. Of course I sketched one out but there is a long list on my June to-do list first.
