A customer wrote a couple of weeks ago looking for a special birthday gift for his mom. He had the great idea of doing four seasonal pillows, one for each season, and requested they be done in my string pillow design.

I love how they turned out! He gave me a little background about his mom’s decor preferences and directed me to make the summer pillow patriotic. I sent some swatches and then got the go-ahead to construct the pillows.

I didn’t want the pillows to be too matchy-matchy so I added little pops of color – a touch if aqua and purple in winter, a bit of orange in summer. I actually liked them so much that I cut out four more to make for my sewing room!
