Yesterday Maddie and I took a field trip to Ikea to prepare for “the great teenager bedroom makeover.” We planned to get a wall unit / tv center and bed with storage drawers underneath it. We picked furniture but she didn’t find any bedding that she loved.

Then we go to the fabric section. I sure did forget how much fabric they really have at IKEA.

Within seconds she squealed, “omg they have the same fabric of the fleece I loved that uncle michael ruined. This is what I want my bedroom decorated in!”

Yep, black and white and orange and red and pink and yellow. My girl loves color! So today I am in the sewing room making curtains while Rob, her dad and uncle Michael are painting her room and putting together more Ikea furniture than I know what to do with. Should be a fun day.
