It is hard to believe another year has come and gone, but here we are getting ready to say farewell to 2014 and welcome 2015. We came up to Jen and Tim’s yesterday to celebrate the holidays and ring in the New Year.

Jen set up an extra table to be a sewing station for me. She included a lamp, an extension cord, chocolates, a snipper, a candle and a nice pillow. What more could I need?

Beyond sewing, we did some baking today as Jen and Tim are having a little get-together tonight. And we even got the teenagers to help.

First up, a champagne cake with champagne vanilla glaze and gold glitter sprinkles. We made it in jen’s fancy new bundt pan. But what is a party without chocolate?

We got Maddie and Kira to make an awesome dense chocolate cake and Jen and I made a peppermint buttercream to ice the cupcakes. The cupcake liners are silicon and have fortunes in the inside. They were an awesome stocking stuffer from Maddie.

These two desserts pale in comparison to the awesome spread that Jen has prepared. I hope you are having a great night with family and friends and wish you all the best for a blessed and joyous 2015!
