When I first decided to add machine embroidery to my sewing repertoire a year and a half ago, I really wanted one of the larger machines with a larger sewing bed. But I just couldn’t reconcile the price tag so I got a middle-of-the-road Bernina. So imagine my surprise when a local shop was closing and offered bargain basement prices on new top-of-the-line Bernina machines!!!
She sure is a beauty!!! Huge sewing area. 1,000 stitches per minute. Multi-directional needle stops. On screen design editing. And, a new and improved bobbin with a much larger capacity.
She sews like a dream. The stitches are even and tight and beautiful. In addition to doing a bunch of items for craft shows, I made shirts for Shane’s kids for school and for Rob for his business
At the same time I got the new machine, we moved the sewing room from the loft to the lower level, creating a new and improved girl cave downstairs. More on that to come, but I do love my embroidery thread being so handy!
P.S. If anyone would like to buy a very reliable and gently used Bernina 5 Series with embroidery, send me a message. I will be listing it on eBay soon.
