I am so excited to share a guest post today from my good friend Jen Gray. Here it is…
We are visiting my brother and his family here in Colorado Springs, and of course I had to see if there were any quilt shops in town. I struck gold finding Na-La’s Quilt Shoppe in nearby Fountain CO. The staff were preparing for the Shop Hop, which unfortunately for me, is next week after we return to NY.
I highly recommend a visit to this shop, the staff were very friendly and welcoming but didn’t hover. I loved the variety as well, grouped by style. Lots of gorgeous batiks, landscape, reproduction, holiday and plenty of adorable child-theme fabrics.
Erin knows that my weakness is artfully bundled fabric pre-cuts, and boy was I in trouble here. Lots of pre-cuts, not just strips and squares but quilt kits too. Notions, scraps, end-of-bolt cuts and other cute quilting goodies were displayed in large glass jars and old fashioned bins.
The quilts displayed were not just excellent examples for their kits, but I also truly appreciated the quilting on them. After inquiring, one of the shop owners was the artist behind many of them.
This shop is bright and happy. I would easily be a regular if I lived close and will definitely return when we visit again.
