This was a fun Instagram swap to do. The challenge he was to make a mini quilt in the theme of “once upon a time,” and the swap was hosted by Amista Baker. When I signed up I was thinking of my guidance which was around rainbows and unicorns. My partners mosaic had really cool paper pieced dragons. I hate paper piecing. 

Knowing she liked saturated colors and Tula pink, I made this mini with an embroidered motif from Urban Threads and border made of Tula fabrics. 

The embroidery motif has a dragon. I changed the colors a little bit to match this fabric and really like how it turned out. 

The quilting is Good Vibrations end to end from Urban Elementz.

And I included a lot of extras because I felt bad about not doing a paper pieced dragon. The package is on the way it’s new home and I hope my partner likes it.
